ABOUT
This assignment was created as a two page editorial spread. The goal was to show the development of a pathology, in this case wet age-related macular degeneration. The challenge was coming up with a way to show the many aspects involved in this disease's development: the accumulation of drusen and subsequent neovascularization at a cellular level, the scope of the damage done to the retinal layers, the portrayal of the disease as it would appear on a diagnostic retina photograph, and the change in vision as AMD progresses. Finally, it was important to orient the audience as to where all this action was taking place (the macula of the eye).
